Root Canals

A Root Canal is simply a treatment that aims to preserve a tooth. During a Root Canal, the dentist removes damaged or diseased pulp from the center of a tooth, then cleans and fills the tooth canals. Afterward, the tooth requires restoration. Typically, we recommend a crown to protect the remaining tooth structure.

The most common causes of pulp damage or death include:

  • Cracks in the tooth
  • A deep cavity
  • An injury to a tooth, such as a severe knock to the tooth
